Cancer Treatment Improves Hair Retention

Researchers attempting to minimize hair loss associated with cancer radiation treatments have apparently found some success with existing “intensity modulated radiation therapy” (IMRT) with “image-guided radiation therapy” (IGRT) technologies. Better targeting of the radiation has apparently enabled researchers to attack the tumors and leave surrounding tissue containing hair follicles alone. If this proves true, this will be a great help to the mindset and mental health of people undergoing radiation treatment in the future.

Hair Loss in Women

As I have stated here in the past, women’s hair loss can be caused by a number of different factors. I just came across this women’s hair loss article that talks about the many different causes of female hair loss. As with men, stress can cause the body to have all kinds of problems including loss of hair. But, in women, there are a myriad of other physiological factors that can contribute to hair loss. Some of which products like Rogaine for Women or Minoxidil for Women will not help with.
