Let's take a look at each of these a little more closely. Rogaine was, and still is, the only hair loss treatment
approved by the FDA to treat hair loss in both women and men. Rogaine has been clinically shown to work in
approximately 40% of women and men who use it. It will not work for everyone, but you will not know if it works for you if you
do not try it. Rogaine needs to be used for a minimum of 4 months before you will see any noticeable results...and will most
likely take a couple more months to really notice it. Rogaine needs to be applied to the scalp 2 times a day, just like
brushing your teeth. It is safe for use on color treated hair and permed hair as well. A mild shampoo that will help condition
your scalp like Progaine is recommended to keep any scalp irritation in
check.
A few years ago, when the patent for Rogaine ran out, the generic version of Rogaine was released to the public
called Minoxidil. Minoxidil for women is identical
to Rogaine for women and is a great low cost alternative to its sister, Rogaine.
Last but, certainly not least is Revivogen. Revivogen was released to the
public a little over 2 years ago and is considered to be the 2nd generation of over-the-counter hair loss treatments.
Revivogen is a DHT blocker, a hormone that is believed to cause hair loss in both men and women. Propecia, the prescription
hair loss medication for men, is a DHT blocker, but must be ingested and works from the inside of the body. Revivogen, like
Rogaine or Minoxidil, is a topical treatment that works locally on your scalp. There is no need to ingest a pill, no need to
worry about the effects on your organs. I use Revivogen myself and am happy with the results. I really love the great

Rogaine for Men was the first over-the-counter hair loss treatment available to the American public. Rogaine is applied
directly to your scalp two times a day. Rogaine for Men is available in two strengths, 2% and 5% extra strength. Rogaine Extra Strength has been clinically proven to work up
to 40% faster than 2% Rogaine. The only reason you would not want to
use 5% Rogaine is if you have a sensitive scalp and/or Rogaine 5% causes irritation or itchiness.
A few years ago, the generic form of Rogaine was released called Minoxidil and provides a significant savings over its brand name brother, Rogaine.
Minoxidil is identical to Rogaine and is applied in the exact same way.
